This itinerary focuses on the core region between Oslo and Bergen, offering a blend of city experiences and access to natural wonders through some of the world’s most scenic train and boat journeys.
Tentative day wise itinerary
Part I: History & The Scenic Rail
Day 1: Arrive In Oslo
✈️ Arrival: Arrive at Oslo International Airport (OSL).
🚗 Transfer: Our tour manager will help you transfer and check in to your luxury hotel.
🏙️ Leisure: Spend the rest of the day exploring this Viking city at your own pace.
🏨 Overnight: Oslo.
Day 2: Oslo Tour & Journey to Flåm
🏛️ Morning Tour: After breakfast, head out to cover some of Oslo’s historical and cultural highlights:
Akershus Fortress
Norwegian Museum of Culture (Norsk Folkemuseum)
Viking Ship Museum
Fram Museum
🌊 Oslo Fjord: Witness the expansive Oslo Fjord, a 100 km-long inlet.
🚂 Transfer to Flåm: Head to Central Station and take a train (Oslo-Myrdal route) followed by the famous Flåm Railway (Flåmsbana).
🏞️ Scenery: The 20 km Flåm train journey is a high point, offering breathtaking views of tall mountains and thundering waterfalls, particularly around Myrdal.
🏨 Overnight: Flåm.
Part II: Fjords & Bergen
Day 3: Flåm Fjord Cruise & Journey to Bergen
🚢 Fjord Cruise: After breakfast, head out to explore the fjords by boat:
Aurlandsfjord
Nærøyfjord: Explore the narrowest fjord in Europe, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, surrounded by mountains up to 1,800 meters. Admire the small, traditional farms along the way.
🚌 Coach Journey: Enjoy the breathtaking coach journey from Stalheim which offers views of the Nærøyfjord Valley. This road features 13 steep bends and magnificent views of the Stalheimsfossen and Sivlefossen waterfalls.
🚂 Transfer to Bergen: Continue your journey to Voss and catch a train for the final leg to Bergen.
🏨 Overnight: Bergen.
Day 4: Depart Bergen
✈️ Departure: After breakfast, check out of your hotel in Bergen.
🔙 Transfer: Transfer to Bergen Airport (BGO) to continue with the next leg of your Europe tour package or catch your return flight home.
