Part I: Meghalaya – The Abode of Clouds

Day 1: Arrival Guwahati & Drive to Shillong (130 Kms / 3.5 Hrs)

✈️ Arrival: Arrive at Guwahati Airport/Station (The commercial capital of North East).

🚗 Transfer: Start your scenic drive to Shillong, known as the “Scotland of the East.”

🏞️ En Route: Visit the beautiful Umiam Lake, the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya.

🏙️ Shillong Sightseeing: Visit the Don Bosco Museum, Cathedral of Marry, Golf Course, and Ward’s Lake.

🛍️ Evening: Evening free at leisure; you may take a walk to the famous Police Bazaar for shopping.

🏨 Overnight: Shillong.

Day 2: Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong (Day Trip)

🌧️ Excursion: Drive to Cherrapunjee, the wettest place on Earth.

💦 Waterfalls: Witness the gorgeous Seven Sisters (Nohsngithiang) Falls and Nohkalikai Falls.

🚶 Cave Exploration: Take a soft cave walk inside the Mawsmai Cave, a natural limestone wonder.

🪴 Garden: Also visit the serene Garden of Caves.

🏨 Overnight: Shillong.

Day 3: Shillong – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong (Day Trip)

🏘️ Village Visit: Drive to Mawlynnong, famed as the cleanest village in Asia. Learn about the Khasi lifestyle and culture.

🌉 Living Root Bridge: Walk down steps to witness the nature’s wonder: the Living Root Bridge.

🛶 Dawki: Drive to Dawki to be mesmerized by the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River.

🚣 Optional Activity: Enjoy a country boat river ride (at additional cost). Drive up to the Bangladesh border viewpoint.

🏨 Overnight: Shillong.

Day 4: Shillong – Tezpur (250 Kms / 6 Hrs)

🍽️ Breakfast: Enjoy a pleasant breakfast.

🚗 Transfer: Drive from the hills of Meghalaya to Tezpur in Assam, the gateway to Arunachal Pradesh.

🏛️ Leisure: Complete check-in formalities and relax. If time permits, visit the Mahabhairav Temple.

🏨 Overnight: Tezpur.

Part II: Arunachal Pradesh – The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains

Day 5: Tezpur – Dirang (190 Kms / 5 Hrs)

🚗 Drive: After breakfast, drive to Dirang in the mountainous region of Arunachal Pradesh.

🧘 Monastery: Visit the TDL Monastery (Tibetan Buddhist Temple).

🍇 Local Visit: After check-in, freshen up before exploring the local area. Dirang Valley is famous for its hot springs, apple & kiwi orchards, and charming valleys.

🏨 Overnight: Dirang.

Day 6: Dirang – Tawang (155 Kms / 6 Hrs)

🚗 Himalayan Drive: Drive to Tawang, the beautiful land of the Monpa tribes, situated at 3500 meters (11,500 ft).

❄️ High Pass: Witness the stunning, snow-capped Sela Pass at 13,700 ft.

🎖️ War Memorial: Visit the Jaswant Garh War Memorial, commemorating the heroes of the 1962 Indo-China war.

🏨 Overnight: Tawang.

Day 7: Tawang Exploration

🏯 Tawang Monastery: After breakfast, visit the iconic Tawang Monastery (Galden Namgyel Lhatse), one of the largest Lamaseries of the Mahayana sect in Asia (400 years old). Admire the 18 ft high statue of Lord Buddha.

🕉️ Other Monasteries: Visit the Urgelling Monastery (established in the 15th century) and Ani Gompa, and the large Buddha Statue.

🕯️ Evening Show: Visit the War Memorial commemorating the bravery of Indian heroes, and witness the light & sound show in the evening.

🏨 Overnight: Tawang.

Day 8: Tawang – Bomdila (180 Kms / 6 Hrs)

🚗 Transfer: After breakfast, drive to Bomdila (8,000 ft), a small town known for its Buddhist monasteries and Himalayan landscapes.

💧 En Route Sightseeing: En route, visit the spectacular Jung Falls, also known as the Nuranang Falls.

🏨 Overnight: Bomdila.

Part III: Departure

Day 9: Bomdila – Guwahati (300 Kms / 8 Hrs)

🚗 Transfer: After breakfast, begin the long drive back to Guwahati (Assam).

🛎️ Leisure: After reaching Guwahati and completing check-in formalities, take some rest and explore the areas around your hotel.

🏨 Overnight: Guwahati.

Day 10: Departure Guwahati

🍽️ Breakfast: Enjoy a final breakfast.

✈️ Departure: Check-out from the hotel and be transferred to the Guwahati Airport to catch your return flight home, concluding this memorable expedition.
